"I like to visualize what happens in a game," he smiled. "I went right to the spot where I scored, and I just relived it. If there's a moment that arises that it's the same, I can go and do it again."

"I think the ones who have been here, me, Eoin Toal, Josh Sheehan, George Johnston, we've been here the longest," he said. "And you probably come under a bit of criticism at times, because it's been four years that we've been here together as a group, and we haven't got over the line."
However, this time, the criticism has been deserved, as the team has given everything. "I think now, all that just disappears, because we've given absolutely everything," he continued. "We've given everything since the moment that we've been here, and then you achieve it, and that's all that matters. You can take the criticism, because the criticism is deserved. We ultimately failed for a couple of years, and then now we've produced a moment which all the fans will remember for the rest of their lives."
Dempsey's journey with Bolton has been a rollercoaster, but he leaves with a sense of fulfillment. "I had an absolutely incredible time at Bolton," he said. "Let's just see what happens in the summer."
